The Rattle Of The Tracks

The rattle of the tracks, the rattle of the tracks
The rattle of the tracks of the tanks
that made me so excited
The rattle of the tracks
the rattle of the tracks
The rattle of the tracks of the tanks
that made me so excited
In the early morning light
I heard them passing by
Jumped out of my bed
and stared out in the dawn
I was just a foolish boy
didn’t know what’s going on
Watched them stunned and speechless
As they passed the narrow streets
The rattle of the tracks
the rattle of the tracks
The rattle of the tracks of the tanks
that made me so excited
The rattle of the tracks
the rattle of the tracks
The rattle of the tracks of the tanks
that made me so excited
And I hoped that they would see me
Yes, I knew they were inside
I was trying to salute them
I was trying to stand tall
Oh, little boy, oh don’t you know
we must be on our way
There’s a scoundrel down the alley
There’s a scoundrel in the streets
I was just a foolish boy
didn’t know what’s going on
Watched them stunned an speechless
As they passed the narrow streets
Oh, little boy, oh don’t you know
we must be on our way
There’s a scoundrel down the alley
There’s a scoundrel in the streets
